Metal Pen from Grand Illusions
Grand Illusions offers a pen with an 8 cm-long stainless steel body and no ink supply. There’s no need for ink because the pen writes with a soft metal alloy nib that’s been sharpened into a “pencil point” shape. The metal pen is inspired by Medieval writing implements that also used metal nibs to draw on specially coated paper. The modern metal pen can write on most common types of paper. On printer/photocopy paper, the metal pen makes a mark that looks like pencil, but it doesn’t smudge and it is difficult to erase. Because there is no ink, it never dries out. If the nib begins to dull, you can sharpen the tip with sandpaper. The Metal Pen is £13.99 or $20.99 U.S.
