Acer Unveils Android Smartphone

Before couple of days, Acer, the leading smartphone company announced a new smartphone with a tablet-like format. This device has a great features like a huge 4.8 inch widescreen display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, full metal body, multi-touch, 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and so on.The 4.8 inch screen comes with high resolution and 4 keys – Home, Search, Back, and Menu. Sadly, Acer have not yet decided the name of this powerful device.

Nokia X2-01

Nokia one of the bigger brand,just recently announced a new QWERTY phone, the Nokia X2-01. Nokia X2-01 handset is specially targeted to youngsters for social networking and fast communications. The original X2-01 has a 5 megapixel camera, but the Nokia X2-01 comes with a VGA camera. Nokia X2-01 has great features as well like a full QWERTY keyboard, GPRS/EDGE, 8GB expandable memory and more.

There are five different colors for the Nokia X2-01 which are Red, Deep Grey, Silver, Lilac and Azure. Nokia X2-01 will come with a price tag of €80 (approx. $110/ Rs.5,000). Nokia X2-01 handset will be available from Q4 of 2010.

Samsung Favouring Windows Phone 7

Now Samsung Smart phone lovers have a good news and the news is, Before couple of months ago probably in September, Mobile Marketing head of samsung Mr.YH Lee had stated that they favored Android OS for the phones over the Windows Phone 7 and Bada platforms. But than the time change and now things take a full turn as Samsung are now said to be favoring Windows Phone 7 over both Android and their own Bada OS.The news article states that Samsung will introduce 15 or more than smart-phones next year.Among them the Windows Phone 7, Android and Bada are included. But for every 50 phones running Windows Phone 7 it will make 24 Android and 5 Bada smart phones.So Samsung will be making more than twice the amount of phones with WP7 as compared to Android.

This could be due to many factors. Many point out that it could be the potential of WP7 because Android seems to be working very well for Samsung and it would be foolish to take such a move if it resulted in worse figures.

LG Dual-Core Android Smartphone

The LG smartphone lovers have a greeting news and the news is LG going to Set Release the First Dual-Core Android Smartphone in 2011.LG First Dual-Core Android Smartphone is the latest among the LG Optimus line of smartphones. LG First Dual-Core Android Smartphone will be the flagship model of LG’s Android lineup in the beginning of 2011.Here are some of the mind boggling specifications:

The internal codename for the device is “Star” but that is most likely to change upon official release. They say LG is aiming to release it early in 2011 to get the first mover advantage of becoming the first Dual Core Android handset.

Motorola Droid X

Motorola is going to launch the New Smart Phone in Indian market named Motorola Droid X.Motorola Droid X is Motorola’s one of the most successful devices of all time. The Indians are always want to know when will the Motorola Droid X release and it looks like that the Droid X is about to hit India.The sources are on the street that Motorola is launching the Droid X in India, but not as Droid X because it’s Verizon branding. If Motorola is launching Motorola Droid X in India, then it will be known as Milestone X or Motoroi X. It’s rumored that the device will hit India later this month, and the rumored launch date is 25th November.The Motorola Droid X major features are :

Sony Ericsson Anzu/XPERIA X12

There is a Cheers for the Sony Ericsson lovers. Here i got the News about The next Sony Ericsson XPERIA model. It’s codename is Anzu and may be released as the XPERIA X12. The greatest thing for Sony Ericsson Anzu/XPERIA X12 is that it is the really slim waistline and the large screen. The design seems to be very similar to the XPERIA X10 but the edges are different.

Sony Ericsson Anzu/XPERIA X12 phone does look very thin and I guess that Sony Ericsson Anzu/XPERIA X12 easily below the 10mm thickness mark. The handset has a 4.3" display and HDMI output. The pictures show the phone running on Android 2.1 but sources say that the phone will be shipping with Android 2.3 Gingerbread preloaded.They say that the camera can capture Full HD video and we can see that it has an LED flash from the pictures. So it may be one of the first mobile phone with 1080p Full HD video recording. It also has a front facing video call camera.

Samsung Galaxy S2

After launching the Samsung Galaxy S and looking to user responses to Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung who is in the mobile market from a long time, and it’s the world second largest mobile phone maker is going to launch the new Samsung Galaxy S2 smart phone. As the look in to past few years back, Samsung was used to launch low and mid-range phones. But this year, Samsung joined big companies like Motorola and HTC, and launched the Samsung Galaxy S, which is a high-end Android powered device. Samsung Galaxy S changed everything in Samsung’s Mobile market, with more than 5 million units sold, Galaxy S is known as one of the best smartphone available in the market.

Well, it seems that Samsung is planning to launch a successor of Samsung Galaxy S, because a screen shot of a Samsung Android phone is leaked, and I reported that the handset is Galaxy S2. As you can see the image above, the phone is really sexy. Take a look on the specs of Galaxy S2:

We will see this device early next year, may be in March because Samsung also launched the Galaxy S in March, but as we all smart phone lovers are greedy, we want this phone as soon as possible.

Sony Ericsson Playstation Phone

We all know Sony Erricson for their Walkman and Cybershot branded phones, Now the Sony is going to launch the Play station/PSP phone.Yes the news is absolutely right as i now have the first real picture of Sony Playstation phone.

The move is predictable as Sony Ericsson sales have not been all that good and the PSP Go wasn’t much of a hit.The Playstation phone looks similar to the PSP Go and Vivaz/Vivaz Pro. It can be said as a cellular version of the PSP Go or a gaming version of the Vivaz Pro with more features. It has a full frontal touchscreen and slide out gaming keys.

The phone should be running the latest version of Google’s Android OS- 3.0 Gingerbread. It has the following specifications:

    * 1 GHz Qualcomm Processor
    * 512 MB RAM, 1 GB ROM
    * Screen is at least 3.7" ( We expect a big screen as it’s ideal for gaming)
    * micro-SD Card Slot
    * Multi Touch Touchpad
    * Camera with LED Flash (We’re guessing around 5MP)

It also looks like no UI skinning has been done such as the Timescape UI. It maybe because of the fact that its buggy or because the pictures show a prototype device.

The release date is to be either 4th quarter of 2010 or 1st quarter of 2011 and there is no details about pricing.

Acer Liquid Metal

The Leading technology company Acer in the world announce the Acer Liquid Metal for UKbefore couple of days.A few years ago, they entered the mobile phone market.Acer who already launched some good Android powered phones, and they are keep extending their Android phone line by announcing a new Android phone known as the Acer Liquid Metal.In Acer smart phones line, Acer Liquid Metal is a latest addition. The phones will be available in UK next month, and the price is arround £299.99. The phone comes in two colors,brown and silver but in next month, it will be only available in brown color.
