Nokia launching Windows Phone 7 powered phone

Recently, we saw Nokia dumped Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, and picked Stephen Elop as a new President and CEO of Nokia, who was on a senior rank in Microsoft before joining Nokia. And now Venturebeat is reporting that Nokia is going to launch a Windows Phone 7 powered phone in future. May be the new CEO is now making some moves, and if he wants to do that, then he can because he is a CEO and President of the company. And at the moment, Microsoft is looking for manufactures to come and make WP7 powered phones for them so they can stay in the market strongly against Android, iOS and others, and Nokia is currently the leader in mobile market, and Nokia mobile phones are known as the most reliable phones. So if Nokia and Windows combine, then they will make a better combination.

Orange launches the San Fransisco, a budget Android phone


Mostly Android phones are expensive and not everyone can buy it, because good Android phones starts from $400. But Orange UK has launched a phone for people who are looking for a good Android phones, with a good price. Orange’s San Fransisco is an Android 2.1 powered handset, which is manufactured by ZTE and it’s for £99 ($154) pay-as-you-go. The phone features a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset, 3.2 megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, and MicroSD expansion. A lot of good features in a great balanced price, you should get it if you are tight on budget and looking for a good Android phone.

Blackberry Bold 9780

A lot of devices are leaked in Vietnam before their launch, Nokia E73 and iPod Touch are few of them. And now another handset is leaked in Vietnam, the Blackberry Bold 9780, which is a successor to popular handset Blackberry Bold 9700. Thanks to folks over at BGR who spotted this, there is no additional details about the handset at the moment, but I am pretty sure that it’s running Blackberry OS6. Nokia C3-01

Nokia C3 Touch and Type was announced as the 2nd Touch and Type phone . It has both a touch screen and keypad and is powered by the Series 40 platform. It has a full stainless steel chassis and has interesting features including 3G, WiFi, 5 MP camera with flash, music player, FM radio and support for 32GB memory cards.
It has a 2.4 inch resistive touchscreen and the battery life boasts of 5.5 hrs of talktime and 400 odd hours of standby.The phone has access to messaging and email. Applications and Games can also be download from the Ovi Store.This phone is part of Nokia’s strategy to connect the next billion people to the internet.

The C3 Touch n Type carries a price tag of EUR 145 before taxes or 188 USD approx close to Rs.8800 before taxes. The phone is expected to go on sale this quarter.The phone will be available in 3 colors – Warm grey,Silver,Khaki gold.

Acer Stream

Acer has just launched the Acer Stream during an event in China / Taiwan and the specs looks pretty impressive.The phone is powered by a 1GHz Snap dragon processor and runs on Android 2.1+ Acer UI. The display is a 3.7inch AMOLED touchscreen.


There’s 3G/HSDPA,WiFi(n) ,Bluetooth, mini HDMI. The phone also packs a 5 MP Camera which does 720p HD video recording. The phone is just 11.2mm thick. There is over 2GB of inbuilt memory in addition to a microSD Card slot.

Nokia has launched the  newest model in the E-series range the E5 at a price of Rs.10634. Nokia E5 can be seen as an alternative to the Nokia E72 and Nokia E63.
