Apple IPad

Apple Inc, the famous iPhone maker has reported that its iPad tablet computer will be available in nine countries outside the US from May 28. The new countries include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.

In April, the company had introduced its iPad only in the US. Last week, the company has reported that it already sold more than one million iPads in the first month of its launch.

It is reported that the cheapest iPad model will retail at £429 in the United Kingdom, whereas, the same model is available for $499 in the US. The difference in the price is due to extra taxes of £37 in the UK.

The company added that the interested people can pre-order the device in the different markets from 10 May.

To encash the growing hype of iPad, various PC vendors like Dell, Nokia and Toshiba are working on their tablet PCs.
